Anatomy of a Prompt
Deconstructing the elements of a perfect prompt.
The Building Blocks
A prompt is more than just a sentence; it's a set of instructions. Understanding how Nano Banana interprets these instructions is key to control.
1. The Core Subject (The "Who" and "What")
This is the most important part. Be descriptive but concise.
- Weak: "A cat."
- Strong: "A fluffy Siamese cat sitting on a velvet cushion."
2. The Medium (The "How")
Tell the model what kind of image you want.
- Examples: Photograph, 3D Render, Oil Painting, Sketch, Vector Art, Polaroid.
3. The Style (The "Vibe")
Reference specific artists, eras, or aesthetic movements.
- Examples: Art Deco, Synthwave, Ghibli-esque, Minimalism, Baroque.
4. Technical Qualities (The "Polish")
These keywords help increase the fidelity of the output.
- Keywords: 8k resolution, unreal engine 5, ray tracing, sharp focus, HDR, cinematic lighting.
5. Composition (The "View")
Control the camera angle and framing.
- Examples: Wide angle, close-up, macro shot, bird's-eye view, rule of thirds.
Putting It All Together
"A close-up macro shot (Composition) of a mechanical eye (Subject), intricate clockwork details (Description), steampunk style (Style), 8k resolution, sharp focus (Technical)."
